Congratulations on your Table Topics win! I am cheering for you to go all the way to District . . . and win there too! I plan to be in the audience on the 29th to celebrate with you! Too bad you weren't yet eligible for the speech part - you would be great . . . and when you arrive at the manuals with storytelling projects - WOW!
Nell told me because I was telling her of my contact with the contest. Our first area competition was supposed to 2 weeks ago this Thursday. I'm not a Table Topics natural - like you. They wanted me to try the speech . . .but I like you hadn't put in enough speeches - only 4. Then our competition was postponed until this Thursday evening - I was already on the schedule for last week . . . and with this week they figured - okay I would have the 6. I can't be there for the next round which is this Saturday when I will be hiking in the desert (barring rain! or a weapons test!) - so things are kind of up in the air right now. I may still be the candidate for this Thursday evening's competition. We will see what happens this Thursday at our regular meeting.
I will keep you posted . . . and let me know how it goes on your path!
I wonder if we can convince your parents to do this too. It is great fun -isn't it?
