Today was an absolutely darling day at church. It was the children's program. At our church they integrate the children's program with the regular worship service (rather than having them act out the entire Christmas story). Costumes are pretty minimal and all of the children participate. Today the main feature was the children singing "Go tell it on the mountain." Singing? More like shouting at the top of their lungs. It was absolutely adorable. There was a little angel in front who took her role VERY seriously, singing as loud as she could. The preschoolers played sheep with white hoods and ears. Everything was just so cute I could hardly stand it. Reminds me of my own days in chorus, where I was the stand-out singing (off-key) as loud as possible.
