I Survived the Dentist!

So both of us went to the dentist this morning. For me, it was the first time in 7 years, and it had been 5 years for Kevin. The dentist himself did my cleaning and he was very gentle. He scraped my gums in a nonaggressive manner. Plus he didn't use the suction thingy. I hate that. I would much rather the doctor take a break every now and then to let me swish and spit than to have that thing running and suck and stick itself to my tongue all the time. And the best part was that when he found a cavity, he didn't jam the poker into it and wiggle it around saying, "Does this hurt?" which always makes me want to scream "Yes, it f---ing hurts!" Anyway, he didn't do that. And he also didn't lecture me on flossing and whatnot after he's already made my gums bleed by forcing string down into them and saying that it's bleeding because I don't floss. No, it's bleeding because you're jamming that stuff into my gums!

Anyway, I got cleaned, and as for cavities? Let's just say that Kevin fared much worse than me on that end. Although, suffice to say, I will be going back for another appointment or 2. I also need a crown, since I had a root canal 7 years ago and never got a permanent crown for it (long story) so I've been walking around with a temporary crown all this time. Which is apparently a bad thing--heh.

Well it was much easier than I thought it was going to be, that's for sure. I think I like this guy. And he's about 10 blocks away from us too, so he's convenient.
