Another Scout Update

Scout is doing better. Within an hour of taking the medicine last night she was visibly in less pain. She even tried to jump on the bed with us this morning. Unfortunately, she's not allowed to jump for a while so we couldn't let her. She's resting comfortably in her crate. She still has her tail tucked in, but she's not arching her back or walking gingerly as she was last night. We've blocked access to her favorite sleeping spots--closed the door to the bedroom, moved the coffee table up close to the couch so she can't jump up, and piled blankets on the chair in the library. She's really going to be bummed when we go down to Grandma's and Grandpa's (my parents) because she covets their waterbed. At least she seems to be feeling a lot better.

I'm glad to hear that Scout is better! It's so hard because, like a baby, they can't tell you what's wrong. Hopefully she will be back to her old self soon.

Poor Scout. Trying-to-get-on-the-bed injuries are the worst because not only are you hurt, but you also missed your nap!

But to make her feel better...at least she's not the red eared slider (water turtle) at Laura's work...due to an unfortunate accident the poor thing had all 4 legs removed yesterday. Beat that.

And Kevin, I'm with you on the ebay thing. I really think that more than 2 weeks waiting should strip any seller of their Power Seller status.

Oh my. I'm an animal lover and all, but wouldn't it be kinder to just put the turtle down?

Thanks for the Scout wishes Suzi and Sherri. Kevin likes to say she got a sports injury from her favorite activity: napping.
